Our Story
In May 2018, Hearts and Heels founder Geneva Maresma saw the need for entrepreneurial support and leadership development in the growing Greater Tampa and Greater Brandon, Florida communities.
While on her own business journey since 2006, she saw that many women were often beginning businesses with little support and knowledge, and many didn’t feel comfortable joining large community groups or national referral networks.
Others had attained success and growth, but like herself, missed the aspect of socialization and camaraderie left behind in the organized working world. What both groups of women needed most was a safe, connected community where their dreams were heard, their passions were encouraged, and education opportunities were accessible.
